Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937 and died 19 January 2008 was an American film theatre, television and voice actor. Pleshette began her professional career in the theater, and appeared in films towards the end of the 1950s. Later, she appeared in prominent films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). She later appeared in various TV productions, mostly in guest roles. She was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978. She received a number of Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was born on the 31st of January of 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish and were the children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was a dancer and artist who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
