She was named one the most popular teen celebs of the year in July's issue of Vanity Fair. In 2004 Vega has completed two film projects, Sleepover in State's Proof and Sleepover. She played an online bully in the television show of Lifetime Odd Girl Out the following year. She starred in a made-for TV movie in 2006 called Walkout. in 2007, she wrapped the filming of Remember the Daze which was only released in limited theatres. Repo had been completed. The Genetic Opera, which premiered in 2008. 10 years ago, Vega was cast as the main character in Helix composed and directed by Aram Rappaport, which began filming in Chicago beginning in March of 2008. She was initially cast as the leading character in Robert Rodriguez's 2009 film Shorts. Then, as she had been working in Australia making Broken Hill at the time, it became necessary to recast her. Kat Dennings was cast in her spot. She was on Broadway in Hairspray with the character Penny. She played Ruby Gallagher in the ABC Family sitcom Ruby & the Rockits which included Patrick Cassidy and David Cassidy. Vega appeared as Wick in the 2012 movie The Devil's Carnival, a film written by director Darren Lynn Bousman and screenwriter Terrance Zdunich. Previously, they collaborated together with Vega in Repo! The Genetic Opera. (12) Vega appeared alongside Spencer Grammer, Kathryn Morris and Rob Margolies in 2br/1ba throughout the year of 2012. Vega played a part in The Pregnancy Project, a Lifetime Channel movie The Pregnancy Project as well as her animated movie The Clockwork Girl was completed. The Mine, a film made by Vega and released in the year 2010 it was shown only to a select public. Vega was the voice of Christina in the animated series Unsupervised as well as having a role in Royal Pains. Vega was the character in Aerosmith's "Legendary Child" video, which was a song. [13]
