Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, a American stage, screen actor and producer. Her best-known role is as a film actress for her work on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She completed a Bachelors of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is a writer and actress working in theater, film as well as television. Her acting career started in the theatre. She then appeared in several television shows, independent films and mainstream movies. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she won critical acclaim but also numerous nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. Her professional acting debut in the role of Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Her credits on stage include the Broadway productions of Joe's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film work her most well-known roles are parts like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her part as a regular on ABC's drama police series High Incident earned her praises.
