Awkwafina
Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started with humorous rap tracks that dealt with issues of sexuality and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood following the release of several rap songs. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came via the trumpet. Later, she began the classical and hip-hop genres. While in college, she took classes in writing and women's studies. In addition, she spent an hour studying Mandarin in Beijing. However, it wasn't until she graduated when she decided to turn her attention on music. After gaining viral fame through the Internet the song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually appeared on the album she released, Yellow Ranger. It also included other viral hits like the body-positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC BitcheUSD. The final track was linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide which was published in 2015. A musician and author was in her portfolio, she decided to determined to pursue an actor for a third venture. Apart from early series like Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films such as Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018 she was able to land major roles in a variety of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. In June she debuted her debut film, In Fina We Trust.
